PHOTO: Police arrest two people with ‘woman’s skull’ in Ogun

Two people have been arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command for being in possession of a woman skull along Ijoun road in Eggua Area of Ogun State.

The suspects identified as Emmanuel Aro (25) and Anu Olofinju (25) were arrested on Friday after one Amoo Bankole filed a complaint at the Eggua Police Station that the suspects were seen digging at a cemetery where his mother was buried few months ago.

The son of the deceased, Amoo told the Police that the suspects were up to something evil for digging his mother’s grave.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Spokesperson, Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi disclosed that “based on the complaint of Amoo,  the Divisional Police Officer for  Eggua division,  Kehinde Oyekangun, mobilized detectives  to the scene but met the suspects along the road.

“The detectives accosted them and upon searching their bag, the skull of a woman was discovered inside and the skull has identified by the son of the deceased and he confirmed it.

Abimbola further said: when the suspects were interrogated, they confessed to the commission of the crime, admitting that they intended to use the skull for money making ritual.

The Commissioner of Police; Bashir Makama, has given directive that the the suspects should be transferred to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation.
