A notorious robbers syndicate specialised in theft of money, mobile phones and other valuable items has been bursted by the Katsina State Police Command.
In a statement released on Sunday, November 10 by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Isah Gambo confirmed the arrest of the suspects who are also under investigation for murder.
“On 26/10/2019 during the annual Sheikh Ahmed Tijjani Maulud conducted at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina, the Command succeeded in conducting a sting operation at various locations in and around the venue, and the following members of a notorious syndicate of gang of thieves who have specialized in theft of money, GSM handsets and other valuables were apprehended.
“The suspects confessed to various crimes committed within the state. They are also being investigated in connection with a case of Culpable Homicide and armed robbery that recently occurred at Sabon Gari Division area of Katsina state. Investigation is ongoing” said Gambo.
