Gunmen have kidnapped Prof Felix Ilesani of Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola, Adamawa State.

Prof Ilesani was abducted Thursday night from his residence at the staff quarters of the university campus in Girei, headquarters of Girei Local Government Area of the state.

Prof Ilesani is the chaplain of Trinity Chapel, located on the main campus of Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH).

Meanwhile, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, said the Chief Security Officer of the university has reported the development to the police.

He said police officers are alert to rescue the victim and arrest the abductors.
