Explaining the broad allocations, Governor Fintiri said, “Out of this total proposed annual budget estimates, the sum of N85.935 billion, which represents 47%, is being earmarked for the recurrent services of the state. The balance of N97.424 billion, which is 53%, is for capital development programmes and services in the state.”

Giving a sectoral breakdown of the proposed budget, Fintiri disclosed that Education and Human Capital Development will have the largest share, being N17,315,500,000; Works and Energy N16,275,300,000; Health and Human Development N10,000,000,000; and Rural Infrastructure & Community Development N7,546,238,400.
