Following the outbreak of Coronavirus in Nigeria, a lawyer identified as Lateef Fagbemi SAN has praised Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde for his efforts at containing the deadly virus in Oyo state.

While commending the governor, Fagbemi also donated N10 million towards the fight.

This was disclosed in a letter written by Fagbemi and released on March 30.

Fagbemi said, “One cannot but acknowledge and hail the proactive and comprehensive arrangements which your government has put in place to fight the pandemic.

I can only advise that all hands must be on deck to activate and improve on the interventions since everything on ground seems to suggest we have not seen the last of this pandemic. We must, therefore, be prepared to support government’s effort at all time.

“In the spirit of supporting this cause, I hereby donate N10 million. The amount has just been credited into Oyo State COVID-19 Endowment Fund with First Bank Plc. I hope and pray that we shall defeat this deadly virus soon.”
