A 32-year-old woman identified as Joy Asoya has been arrested by men of the Bariga Police Station for stabbing her neighbor identified as Favour Tochukwu over a minor quarrel.
This was contained in a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Bala Elkana.
According to the PPRO, Joy and Favour reside in the same house along Alhaji Alimi street in Bariga before they had a misunderstanding and in the process, Joy allegedly stabbed Favour on her back with a kitchen knife.
The victim was rushed to Lagos island hospital in the company of her husband, where she was admitted.
Elkana disclosed that the suspect was arrested and he has confessed to committing the offence. The knife was subsequently recovered by detectives.
Investigation is ongoing and that the suspect will be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation, Elkana added.
