Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, and renowned critic, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, is dead.

According to his personal assistant, Torkuma Uke, Alhaji Tsav died at Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi, on Monday afternoon.

Uke said that his family may likely issue release of his departure later on Monday.

Sources said his remains will be laid to rest Monday evening in Makurdi according to Islamic rite.

Tsav served as Federal Commissioner of Public Complaint Commission in Benue State for a term and was also the Lagos State Commissioner of Police.

In the other news, a drunken Police Sergeant has been arrested for allegedly stabbing an Inspector to death and injuring another victim.

The yet to be named Sergeant is currently being detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Yaba after the Inspector identified as Francis Adekunle died in the hospital Monday morning.
