BREAKING: Fire razes building in Ooni’s palace
SHARE

One of the buildings in the palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has been gutted by fire.

It was gathered that the incident started this afternoon inside a building in the palace but the timely intervention of men of fire service prevented spread to other buildings.

The Administrative Officer of Osun State Fire Service, Fatai Aremu, confirmed the incident, saying his men are on ground to put off the fire.

Another source in the palace confirmed the incident but said, “It is not major, people are only scared because the entrance to the palace was locked.”

Away from the fire outbreak, the Ooni of Ife, had earlier called on leaders of the National Youth Council of Nigeria to review the Bbnaija show so as to come up with something better.

The Ooni unequivocally expressed his displeasure with the show.

He said “the last general election, the total number of votes cast was around 27 million while over 170 million people voted during the 2019 Big Brother Naija reality show”.
