Unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a woman identified as Mrs. Akpezi Okpidi in Ughelli town, Ughelli North council area of Delta state on Saturday morning.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the incident happened at about 8 am when the victim was on her way to shop in Otovwodo, a very busy part of the town.
The 33-year-old victim was reportedly waylaid along the Ughelli Township Stadium axis of the community.
A source told newsmen that she was whisked from her Honda car into a black tinted GLK Benz driven by the suspects.
According to report, the suspects, whose numbers could not be ascertained, drove through the Ughelli/Patani Expressway.
The source further stated that the victim was kidnapped this morning. She was taken from her car on her way to work. It appears there were no gunshots. No one is over there yet to get a photo.
As at the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer in Delta State, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya haa not replied text message sent to him to confirm the incident.
