Amid nationwide protests over Police brutality and insecurity, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha Buhari, Saturday called on his husband and service chiefs to save the people.

Disclosing this via her verified twitter handle, the first lady, wrote: ‘#Achechijamaa’, which translates to ‘rescue the people’.

She tweeted a video of her husband with the service chiefs, discussing how to end insecurity in the country.

A Hausa song calling on the President to save the North was also playing in the background.

The song translates as “Please look at our condition. We need your help. The North is crying. There is insincerity. Our blood is being spilled. Our property is being destroyed. Intervene in our situation, baba.”

Nigerians have since last ten days embarked on a heavy protest, calling on the government of Buhari to reform the police force over abuse of office, maltreatment, inhumane treatment, extra judicial killings and many other felonious crimes.
