Kaduna, FCT lead as Nigeria records 169 new cases of COVID-19

Nigeria records 304 new COVID-19 cases, total now 44,433

Nigeria has recorded 169 new positive cases of COVID-19, totalling 66,974 total confirmed cases despite the war declared against the deadly virus.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its daily count in its November 26, 2020 update.

According to the agency, the new cases were confirmed across 11 states and the federal capital territory (FCT) in its update for November 26, 2020 — Kaduna and the FCT recorded the most infections.

According to the states breakdown, Kaduna recorded the most cases with 74 new positive samples, followed by FCT with 42, and Lagos with 17.

A total of 92 persons were discharged on Thursday, increasing the recovery count to 62,585.

However, no new death was recorded for the second consecutive day, leaving the fatality toll at 1,169.

A total of 66,974 cases have now been confirmed across the country, while the number of active cases now stands at 3,220.
