Mob kill soldier who allegedly shot four civilians in Maiduguri

A soldier who allegedly shot four civilians following an argument which ensued at Baga Road Market area of Maiduguri, Borno state capital was reportedly lynched to death on Saturday January 16.

According to a report by Premium Times, one civilian died on the spot while three others suffered serious injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.

The soldier said to be Private was identified as Mohammed Abdullahi with service number 16NA/75/4272.

The security operative who was serving in the 130 Battalion but attached to the 212 Battalion for the ongoing anti-insurgency Operation Lafiya Dole, was reportedly drunk at the time of the incident.
