A footage showing one Lekan Adeniran, a retired Brigadier general in the Nigeria Army and Osun West APC senatorial aspirant intimidating All Progressives Congress (APC) members in the state with a gun has surfaced on social media.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the retired Brigadier general in the Nigeria Army who is a native of Olaoluwa local government reportedly terrorised and intimidated the APC party faithfuls in the constituency.

In the video which has gone viral, the Osun West APC senatorial aspirant could be seen angrily addressing some yet-to-be identified people suspected to be party members.

The footage further shows some youths approaching the retired Brigadier general and he brought out a gun to scarce or threaten the aggrieved party members and some women could be seen running helter-skelter.

Speaking on the incident, the LGEA chairman of Olaoluwa identified as Ayinde Abiola said, “he brings out his gun with threats to shoot anytime anyone opposes him.

Abiola said the retired Brigadier general attacked him at the government and vowed to delay his political growth.

“On the day he attacked me, I heard he and the APC Chairman (Ismail Akinyooye) in the area were collaborating to change the delegates list, so we waded in. He comes to our town (Ogbaagba in Olaoluwa local government area of Osun State) to cause problems”, he added.

Ayinde further stated that Adeniran also attacked Honourable Amos Akindiya, the Osun Chairman of SUBEB (The State Universal Basic Education Board). He slapped him four times.

“He (Adeniran) is from Ward 2 which is Asamu, but he came Ward 4 which is Ogbaagba to make trouble.

“He also attacked Tadese (Amidu Tadese Raheem) in Osogbo the day we did (APC) primary election. On this day, being an aspirant Adeniran could see that results did not go his way, he then started making scenes and fomenting troubles.

Abiola thereafter called on concerned individuals in the Osun APC to call Adeniran to order before he destabilize the party in the local government area of the state.
