On March 13, 2026, Priscilla Ojo-Mkambala marked a milestone birthday, turning 25 after spending most of her life in the public eye. Born in Lagos in 2001, she grew up surrounded by the lights, cameras and drama of Nigeria’s film industry as the daughter of Nollywood actress and producer Iyabo Ojo.
For many Nigerians, Priscilla was first known simply as the daughter of a famous actress. But over the years, she has steadily built a name of her own. She first appeared in Nollywood films as a young actress and later emerged as one of the most visible Gen Z personalities in Nigeria’s entertainment and fashion space.
From early roles in films such as Beyond Disability (2014) to building a strong presence on social media and venturing into fashion and lifestyle branding, Priscilla’s journey has unfolded largely in the spotlight. As she turns 25, her story reflects not only the experience of growing up in Nollywood but also the determination to create an identity beyond a famous surname.
Growing Up In Nollywood

For Priscilla Ojo, the world of film was never far away. Raised in a household closely connected to the Nigerian movie industry, she spent much of her childhood watching her mother work on film sets and productions.
After her parents separated, Priscilla and her brother were largely raised by Iyabo Ojo, whose career as an actress and filmmaker exposed them early to the realities of the entertainment business. From script readings to long production hours, the young Priscilla witnessed firsthand the discipline and resilience required to succeed in Nollywood.
Those experiences gradually sparked her interest in acting. Being around cameras, actors and film crews made the industry feel familiar. By the time she reached her teenage years, stepping in front of the camera herself seemed like a natural progression.
Early Steps Into Acting

Priscilla’s first serious step into acting came while she was still young. One of her earliest notable roles came around the age of 11 when she appeared in the film Jejeloye (2012) a project that gave audiences their first glimpse of her budding talent.
Her breakthrough, however, came a few years later when she appeared in the Nollywood drama Beyond Disability (2014). In the film, she played a young girl living with Down syndrome, a role that drew attention for its emotional depth and maturity. The performance earned her a nomination for Best Child Actress at the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards.
Following that recognition, Priscilla continued to build her acting résumé with appearances in films such as Silence (2016) and Victims (2017), where she played the character Laide. These roles allowed her to gain experience on screen and grow more confident as a performer while still balancing school and teenage life.
She has also featured in more recent movies like Beyond Words (2024), All Of Us (2024), Ayele (2025), The Return Of Arinzo (2026).
Although her acting career has not been as extensive as that of many full-time Nollywood actors, those projects helped introduce her to audiences and laid the foundation for her later public career.
Finding Her Own Path
As she grew older, Priscilla’s public identity began to expand beyond acting. During her late teenage years and early twenties, she started building a personal brand that reflected her interests in fashion, lifestyle and youth culture.
Her presence on social media platforms, especially Instagram grew rapidly as she shared glimpses of her daily life, travels and fashion choices. Over time, that digital presence evolved into a powerful platform that connected her with millions of followers.
The entertainment industry changed, as social media created a new kind of celebrity with influence as strong as actors and musicians.
Priscilla was among the young personalities who successfully embraced that shift. While comparisons with her famous mother were inevitable, she gradually began to define her own space within the entertainment ecosystem.
Social Media and the Rise of a New-Age Celebrity

If acting introduced Priscilla Ojo to the public, social media expanded her reach far beyond Nollywood.
Her Instagram account, where she posts fashion looks, lifestyle content and personal moments, grew into a platform followed by millions of people. For many young Nigerians, she became a style inspiration and a relatable personality whose life played out online.
That visibility also attracted collaborations with fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. As influencer marketing became a major part of modern advertising, Priscilla positioned herself among Nigeria’s emerging generation of digital entrepreneurs. Fashion became a central part of her public identity.
Love and a New Chapter

In 2024, another chapter began to shape the public story of Priscilla Ojo. This is her relationship with Tanzanian singer Juma Musa Mkambala aka Juma Jux.
The pair first sparked dating rumours after appearing together on social media in mid-2024. It only started as fan speculation but soon became public knowledge as the two began sharing moments of their relationship online, drawing attention from audiences across Nigeria and East Africa.
By early 2025, the relationship had moved to the next stage. On February 7, the couple held a private Islamic Nikkah ceremony in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, formally sealing their union according to Muslim rites. During the ceremony, Priscilla adopted the name Hadiza Mkambala.
Wedding celebrations later continued in Lagos with a traditional and white wedding attended by family, friends and figures from Nigeria’s entertainment industry, before the festivities concluded with a final reception in Tanzania.
For Priscilla, the marriage marked a significant turning point, that connected her life and career to another part of Africa’s entertainment landscape. While she built her public profile in Nollywood and Nigeria’s influencer culture, Jux is widely known across East Africa’s music scene.
To top it all, the couple welcomed their first child, a son named Rakeem, in August 2025.
Life at 25: Growth, Fame and Possibilities

At 25, Priscilla Ojo finds herself at an important stage of life. Having spent more than a decade in the public eye, she now stands as a young woman navigating fame, career ambitions and personal growth.
Her journey has taken her through several phases. From a child actress appearing in Nollywood films to a digital personality with a large online following. She has also pursued higher education, studying Media and Theatre Arts at Babcock University, a course that aligns with her creative interests.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate her milestone age, Priscilla shared gorgeous photos of herself with the caption:
