Former Big Brother Naija winner Ilebaye has triggered widespread concern after a distressing Instagram Livestream on Friday night showed her pleading for help amid what appeared to be a violent domestic incident.
In the now-viral Instagram live video, the reality star was seen with visible facial swelling as she tearfully appealed to viewers, claimed she was being held against her will and subjected to ongoing physical abuse. During the livestream, she repeatedly called for urgent assistance, said she needed to leave the environment immediately and described herself as being locked in and unable to escape.
Speaking amid the incident, she was heard saying “Nigerians help me, I need to go. I need to leave this house, I’m being locked up. I’m tired of assault, please come and help me.”
The footage also appeared to capture a man, reportedly believed to be her father, in the background allegedly engaging in physical aggression, an aspect that has intensified public reaction and raised alarm across social media platforms. The authenticity and full context of the situation, however, remain unclear as of the time of reporting.
Her emotional distress during the livestream quickly drew attention from fans and public figures. Fellow reality star Tacha reacted on her Instagram story, urged anyone in Abuja with access to law enforcement to assist in locating Ilebaye’s residence for possible rescue intervention. She described the visuals she had seen as deeply troubling and called for immediate action to ensure the safety of the reality star.
Tacha’s words;
“I really just want to know who is in Abuja right now, that can take the police to Ilebaye’s house. Ilebaye’s face has been ruined. I don’t even know who did it but from the video I have seen they are really brutal”
Another BBNaija alum, Beauty Tukara, initially raised concerns online, asking followers for help in tracking Ilebaye’s location after reports emerged that she was unreachable. She noted that the reality star had indicated she was in Abuja and was attempting to share her location before communication was cut off.
“Please who can track a number. llebaye isn’t reachable anymore. She was about to send her location. Please who can help? She said she’s in Abuja

Shortly after, Beauty updated her followers, stating that Ilebaye was no longer in danger. While she did not provide detailed circumstances surrounding the incident, she reassured the public that the former winner was safe and would share her account when ready.
“She’s no longer in harm’s way. Thank God..It’s not my story to tell but thanks everyone. llebaye is fine and she’ll tell her story in her time. Thanks everyone” Tukara added
