Manchester United could conclude several transfer deals in the coming days as the club continues its squad rebuild ahead of the 2026–27 season.

The summer window has taken on added significance for United following the return of UEFA Champions League football to Old Trafford and the club’s efforts to strengthen the squad assembled by Head coach Michael Carrick.

While the club has already added Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, attention has now shifted to further arrivals and a number of possible departures.

At least one additional midfielder is still expected to arrive, while several players are being linked with permanent transfers or loan exits.

Manu Kone: Midfield reinforcement

Roma midfielder Manu Kone is reportedly among United’s leading targets as the club searches for another central midfielder.

Reports indicate that personal terms have already been agreed with the player, while Roma are believed to value him at around £50m.

Should negotiations between the clubs progress quickly, the transfer could become one of United’s major midfield additions before the week ends.

Radek Vitek: Goalkeeper faces another move

Czech goalkeeper Radek Vitek is expected to leave again after impressing during his loan spell at Bristol City last season.

His chances of becoming United’s first-choice goalkeeper appear limited following the arrival of Karl Darlow as backup to Senne Lammens.

A permanent transfer is now being discussed, and the move could be finalised before the end of the current transfer week.

Joshua Zirkzee: Italian return gathers pace

Joshua Zirkzee is another player whose future at Old Trafford appears increasingly uncertain.

The Dutch striker joined United from Bologna in 2024 for £36.5m, but his prospects under Carrick have been questioned.

Juventus are reportedly monitoring the situation closely, and a return to Serie A is emerging as a realistic possibility.

Altay Bayindir: Turkish exit under discussion

Turkey international Altay Bayindir has also been linked with a departure this summer.

The goalkeeper has reportedly been granted extended leave following the World Cup period to facilitate discussions over his future.

Besiktas are understood to be interested in bringing him back to Turkey, and negotiations are believed to be ongoing.

Marcus Rashford: Defining week ahead

Marcus Rashford remains the most high-profile unresolved case among United’s potential departures.

His loan spell at Barcelona was not converted into a permanent transfer, leaving the forward at a crossroads as the new season approaches.

Although a resolution is not considered imminent, a breakthrough this week cannot be ruled out as discussions over his future continue.

With pre-season preparations advancing, Manchester United appear keen to accelerate both recruitment and player exits, making the coming days potentially significant for several members of Carrick’s squad.
