Three suspected pipeline vandals arrested in Delta

Three suspects allegedly vandalizing armoured cables and other electrical installations in the PPMC refinery in Warri, at Tank 82 in the refinery complex have been arrested in Delta.

The suspects were arrested by operatives of the State Intelligence Bureau, SIB, led by one Insp. Obot Bassey in collaboration with mobile personnel attached to the Warri refinery.

A ladder, industrial iron cutters, vandalized armoured cables and other items were recovered from the suspects.

The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali, confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright.

CP Ali gave the names of the arrested suspects as Saturday Idoge, Sunday Ishenive, and Philip Ngbodi.

He said efforts are ongoing to also apprehend the receivers of the stolen items.
