Unknown gunmen have kidnapped a family of five at Ayere Area in Kogi State on Sunday on their way to Abuja after the Easter celebration.
The kidnapped victims, Mr Ibrahim Olusa, his wife and three children, were said to have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen while travelling to Abuja from Ajowa Akoko in Ondo State where they went for Easter celebration.
It was gathered that the kidnappers have contacted the family and demanded N10 million ransom for the release of the kidnapped family.
The immediate past Chairman of Ajowa Akoko Community Council, Mr Ajayi Bakare, who confirmed the incident attributed the kidnapping and robberies on that road to the deplorable section of the road that belongs to Kogi State.
The incident has reportedly brought a lot of fear and unpleasant feelings to the residents of the town.
