Gunmen have kidnapped a petrol dealer, Itakorode Adebayo on Thursday at his filling station in Governor Kayode Fayemi’s hometown, Isan Ekiti, in Oye Local Government area of Ekiti state.

It was gathered that the gunmen numbering eight invaded Adebayo’s Prosperous Filling Station located around 7pm on Thursday and kidnapped him.

The Ekiti State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident, said a team of police operatives and detectives, including the Amotekun Corps and the local hunters, had been deployed to rescue the victim.

According to him, operatives had been mandated to rigorously comb the bushes and the forests across the state to ensure they rescue the man.
