JUST IN: Gunmen abduct Ambrose Alli varsity professor, demand N18 million ransom

Professor Osadolor Odia of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, has been abducted by gunmen at his farm at Egoro, Ekpoma, in Esan West Local Government Area.

Odia, a Professor of Engineering and former Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the AAU, was said to be on his way to the farm when he was kidnapped to an unknown destination.

A family source said the professor’s abductors had already made contact with the family, demanding for a ransom of N18 million.

The Public Relations Officer of the university, Edward Aihevba confirmed the abduction, adding that he was shocked with the development.
