Fire on Thursday night, May 6, gutted the Cairo Market in the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the fire, whose cause was yet to be known as of the time of filing this report, affected the fabrics section of the market.
Nosa Okunbor, the spokesperson for Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, told newsmen that emergency responders have arrived the scene and are battling to contain the fire.
Efforts are being made to stop the fire.

In other news, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Ms Hadiza Bala-Usman has been suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari.
This was disclosed in a statement issued late on Thursday night by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity) in Abuja.
