Biafra: Ex-soldier arrested for training 2,000 ESN fighters

A former Army Lance Corporal, Livinus Owalum-Barnabas has been arrested by Nigerian forces for training fighters recruited for the Eastern Security Network (ESN) by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Abuja.

The dismissed soldier was arrested in the Gwagwalada area of Abuja, Eons Intelligence reports.

It was gathered that Owalum-Barnabas has trained more than 2,000 IPOB ESN fighters.

The suspect, during interrogation confessed he was paid N200,000 for the job.

Nigerian forces have stepped up the hunt for top IPOB members and collaborators for allegedly launching attacks on security operatives in South-East and South-South regions.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu stated that ESN was established to defend the people of the Eastern region from terrorists and bandits allegedly trooping in from the North.
