Suspected ritualists kill woman, remove vital parts in Kwara

Suspected ritualists have reportedly removed one Hassana Mohammed’s private part and breasts after hacking her to death along Kanikoko area of Kaiama in the northern part of Kwara state.

It was gathered that the murder took place at midnight on Thursday after which her body was dumped by the roadside.

The spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Babawale Afolabi, who confirmed the incident, said, “On Thursday, June 10, 2021 at about 1230hrs, one Hassana Mohammed (F) of Yarugaba compound Kaiama was murdered and her body dumped along Kanikoko Road, Kaiama, by some suspected ritualists.

“The deceased was not found at home and also not answering calls made to her phone. Security agents were alerted and the vigilantes, in search of the girl, found her dead along Kanikoko Road, Kaiama.”

Afolabi further said that after medical examination it was discovered that the victim’s private part and breasts were removed by the suspected ritualists.

“She was buried on Friday after necessary examinations were conducted and investigation is ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators,” he said.
