Gunmen have kidnapped eight workers working with a ceramic company in the Ajaokuta local government Area of Kogi State.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday in Emiworo.
It was learnt that the workers were abducted while loading stones which is expected to be delivered to the ceramic site located in Itobe.
The suspected criminals who were fully armed according to sources whisked away their victims 8 in number to an unknown destination.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Kogi State, DSP William Ovye Aya confirmed the incident on Wednesday evening.
Aya, however, said six mining workers of West African Ceramic were kidnapped.
According to him, the Police in collaboration with sister security agencies had combed the bushes to ensure that the abducted miners regained freedom from their abductors.
