The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned President Muhammadu Buhari of the consequences of arresting the Supreme Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Ayodele warmed that Kanu’s arrest will generate heat and protest from IPOB members in South-Eastern states.

The clergymen stated that Kanu’s arrest is not a pass mark for Buhari’s government and making jamboree about it will only give him unnecessary relevance.

Ayodele, who said Kanu is not the one to actualise Biafra further stated that the IPOB leader arrest will have a negative impact on the government because it adds no value to the security agencies in Nigeria.

“Nnamdi Kanu’s matter is secondary though it will generate heat and protest from members of IPOB in eastern states, the government should handle it with caution because it will also attract international community’’ he said.

“He has been tagged as a terrorist which was what led to his arrest, every person that has been called a terrorist should face the consequences too no matter their position.

“However, the government should look at the legal implication of this. In fact, with how the government is celebrating his arrest, it will have a negative impact on President Buhari’s administration. They need to thread with caution and pay attention to the legal implication so that it will not be used against President Buhari administration.

“Arresting Nnamdi Kanu is not a pass mark for the government, making noise about this will only give him unnecessary relevance, IPOB will begin to give the government conditions that are unnecessary, his arrest is not worth celebrating at all but they should look at the legal implications.

“Nnamdi Kanu is not an issue to Nigeria, the government don’t just seek divine interventions because taking his matter seriously is like wasting our time, they should just do what is right instead of turning this to jamboree.

‘’I have said it before that Nnamdi Kanu will not be the one to actualize Biafra Republic, Nigeria can not break until God is ready. All these agitations will happen at God’s appointed time’.’
