The umbrella body of Yoruba Self-Determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, has accused operatives of the Department of State Services of butchering an associate of Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho, Saheed Adisa popularly called Adogan to death after failing to kill with 48 gunshots.

Leader of the group, a former federal lawmaker, Senator Banji Akintoye stated that the DSS operatives butchered, slammed a mortal on Adogan’s head after failing to kill him with 48 gunshot bullets.

The group claimed this happened when the DSS operatives raided Igboho’s Ibadan residence on Thursday, stating that it will revenge the death of Adogan.

Sharing the photo of the deceased on social media, the group wrote “This is the face of a true warrior. His name is Adogan. He took 48 bullets to his body and was still standing like a fearless Ikoyi Eso. When bullets failed the DSS, they had to slam a mortal on his head, butchering him to death.

“While DSS operatives were butchering Adogan, Majasola Igboho Oosa (May peace and blessings of Eedua always be with him) had made his exit to fight another day.

“It was said that Adogan’s body was so brutally decapitated by the DSS that they were ashamed to leave his body behind. They whisked his body away, but his blood literally trailed them from Chief Igboho’s living room to the DSS headquarters in Abuja. Trust me, we will take our revenge. RIP my good brother! No going back on Yoruba nation. Lagos rally goes on, as planned, tomorrow. Ifa Dare.”

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that DSS confirmed that a joint team of security operatives raided Igboho’s residence around 1.34am on Thursday, following intelligence reports that he was stockpiling arms.

Spokesperson of the DSS, Dr Peter Afunanya disclosed in a statement that : “In the early hours (about 0134 hours) of today, 1st July, 2021, a joint team of security operatives raided the residence of Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo a.k.a. SUNDAY IGBOHO at Soka, Ibadan, Oyo State.

“This was based on intelligence that he had stockpiled arms in the place. On approach to the residence, the team came under heavy gun attack by nine (9) men, suspected to be IGBOHO’s guards. Six (6) of them were armed with AK-47 gun and Three (3) others, with Pump-Action riffles.

“In the course of the exchange, two (2) of IGBOHO’s armed men were gunned down while the rest were subdued and arrested.

“Only one operative who was shot by the assailants on his right hand sustained injury. He has however received medical attention and is very stable.”
