Irate residents have stormed the Plateau state house of assembly and the government house to show their displeasure following the incessant attacks on citizens in the state.

Recall that some unknown gunmen suspected to be Islamic terrorists had killed no fewer than 36 persons while several others were injured in a fresh attack that occurred in Ahwol Ward, Naraguta community, in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state.

According to reports, the gunmen stormed the community around 10 pm on Tuesday night and killed the victims while several others who sustained injuries during the attack have been rushed to the Bingham University Teaching Hospital in Jos, the state capital.

In a related development, Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has reinstated the 24-hour curfew earlier relaxed in Jos North Local Government Area of the state.

The governor’s decision comes after the growing tensions arising from the attack on Yelwa Zangam village of the Jos North Local Government where over 30 people were killed and properties destroyed.
