Two suspected kidnappers have been arrested in Adagbabiri community of Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State while planning to kidnap a resident of the community.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Asinmi Butswait, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, said the suspects, Odulima Igbogiri and Moses Joshua were arrested by Police, youths and vigilante of Adagbabiri community.
Butswait said the suspects stabbed two policemen and a youth while resisting arrest.
He, however, said the injured officers were responding to treatment at the Sagbama General hospital.
The Police spokesperson added that the suspects were being interrogated, while thorough investigations were ongoing.
