PHOTOS: EFCC busts 21 suspected internet fraudsters in Abia

21 suspected internet fraudsters were in the early hours of Thursday busted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

The suspects are Orji John Chika, Stanley Chukwkreka, Torti Nnana, Chukwuebuka Onwuegbu, Anyanwu Emmanuel Gideon, Obioma David, Inadinma Daniel, Ohakwe Joseph, Oburu Emmanuel, Justin Ashiesbu.

Godwin Onyekwere, Clarenth Chieindu, Ibe Ezewa, Prosper Chimezie, Obinna Iromachi, Anslem Nnamdi, Reality Ezekiel, John Ottah, Prince Chinemerem, Chidozie Obioma and Anderson Nnamdi are the rest.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren said they were arrested without any incident, based on “diligent surveillance and verified intelligence on their suspicious internet-related criminal activities”.

Items recovered were one Lexus RS 350, three Lexus ES 300, one Toyota Camry car, 50 phones, eight HP laptops, one Dell laptop, 15 Airtel SIM cards.

Others: one international passport, one Ford car key, one Samsung wristwatch, one headphone and one printer. They will be charged to court soon.
