The elder brother of Mr Solomon Kulo, the District Head of Lolu in Kuje Area Council in Abuja, and two others have been kidnapped on their farms.

It was learnt that the incident took place on Tuesday evening at about 4pm when the victims were working on their farms.

According to the source, “It was one of the family members of the district head, who is my friend; that called to inform me that their brother and two farmers had been abducted.”

It would be recalled that residents of Kulo, Zokutu and Rubochi communities had been terrorised by bandits and called on security agents to comb the Sheku Forest between Kulo and Rubochi over the activities of bandits.

Another source from the affected communities explained that some farmers in the area are afraid to go to their farms, saying that the Sheku Forest is their hideout.

He added that the bandits didn’t disturb people going to their farms, adding that they only sent anyone they came across to buy them foodstuff, drugs and drinks, but of recent, they started abducting the villagers.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, did not pick a call placed to her telephone to confirm the incident.
