Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano has won his local government area in the Anambra governorship election, held on Saturday.
Governor Obiano who hails from Anambra East delivered his LGA at the governorship poll.
Venatius Oke, a lecturer from the University of Calabar, who announced the result for Anambra East LGA said there were incidences of overvoting in about two polling units.
He announced the results as follows
Registered voters – 98426
Accredited Voter – 14419
APC – 2034
APGA, 9746
PDP – 1380
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA also defeated the former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi and Senator Uche Ekwunife in their local government area.
Both are from Anaocha LGA and are also members of the Peoples Democratic Party.
