Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have rescued 11 kidnap victims from a bandit’s hideout at Sabon Garin Safana, on the outskirts of Tsaskiya village, in the Safana Local Government Area of the state.

The bandits reportedly kidnapped the victims on Friday, November 12, 2021, from Tsaskiya village.

Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday, said operatives in Kankara LGA on Sunday engaged the bandits in a shootout at Danmarabu village, during which 38 cows, 11 sheep and a motorcycle were recovered.

Isah said all the rescued victims were reunited with their families after medical treatment.
