Abubakar Salleh, 31, has been detained by men of the Amotekun Corps in Ogun State for reportedly stealing a motorbike from a bank in the Panseke area of Abeokuta, the state capital.

The Commander of Ametokun, David Akinremi, informed reporters in a statement that the corps apprehended the suspect on the motorbike, known as Okada, with the registration number AYE 811 VN.

According to Akinremi, the culprit is presently being interrogated, adding that “he will be handed over to the police thereafter for prosecution.”

The Corps assured law-abiding residents of its commitment to protect their lives and property.
