Sadiq Tyomanger who is a unionist has asked the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to enforce the use of side mirrors and helmets by motorcyclists nationwide.

This request was made by Tyomanger, who is the National Protocal Officer of the Association of Rights and Welfare of Passengers in Nigeria in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja.

“It has become an eyesore for a great country like Nigeria to have motorcyclists refuse arbitrarily, the normal use of side mirrors and helmets.

“They have been endangering the lives of our teeming passengers on motorcyles across the nation.

“It is very sad for a person to purchase a motorcycle with two side mirrors, only to remove them.

“The FRSC should begin immediate arrest and prosecution of such offenders,” he said.

Tyomanger said that the enforcement will save lives and ensure sanity on the roads.
