Unknown gunmen attacked and killed a man identified as Imam Abubakar in a Fulani settlement in Barakallahu community, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the unknown gunmen also went away with an undisclosed number of cows.
The community District Head, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi explained that the incident happened around 12:15 am, in the early hours of today.
Abdullahi said; “Around midnight, we started hearing shots being fired, they (gunmen) must have shot 50 times before they finally left the community.”
He further explained that he was told that they (gunmen) killed one man and took away many cattle.
He said that he was yet to confirm the number as he was on his way to see the family.
When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige promised to comment after getting in touch with the DPO in charge of the area, DAILY POST reports.
He was yet to do so as of the time of filing this report.
