20 bandits, 7 villagers killed as military engage bandits in Zamfara

At least twenty bandits have reportedly been killed as they unleashed terror on Karakkai village, in Nahuche district of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara state.

It was gathered that seven indigenes were also killed during the attack, which occurred on Saturday.

The bandits were said to have burn a number of local food stores

Some of the villagers revealed that over twenty bandits were neutralized by join task force between Nigerian Army and Civilian (JTF) and scores of arms were recovered, which include motorcycles, guns and ammunition.

According to Daily Post, sources said many of the bandits were arrested by the security operatives.

“They would have killed more than the seven people but for the timely intervention of the Quick Response from the Nigeria Army when they received distress calls from the people of Karakkai

“We pray that Allah SWT should admit those that lost their lives into Jannah, grant their families the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and may Allah bring lasting peace to our State and country at large,” the source said.
