“In view of the foregoing, and in exercise of the duties of his office, as the Chief security officer of the town, the traditional ruler of Enugwu-Agidi, HRH, Igwe Michael Okekeuche after due consultation with members of the royal cabinet and other relevant stakeholders in the town has decided that it will be inauspicious and insensitive to hold the EBU general election for national officers at this time.

“Hence, the proposed national election for the national executive by the current EBU is cancelled, to forestall further crises, Breach of peace, violence and possible fatalities as a consequence of this murder that could result from the visible and apparent insecurity that has over shadowed the town.

“Essentially, members of the general public are advised to remain law abiding, while his Royal Highness and other stakeholders shall continue to interface with the state government for further directive.”
