The Kaduna State Government has reminded residents that the restriction on using motorcycles, often known as Okadas, for commercial or personal use remains in effect until further notice.

Other containment measures that remain fully in place, according to Samuel Aruwan, state Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, are the ban on wielding dangerous weapons and the restriction on the movement of tricycles from dusk to dawn (7 PM to 6 AM) in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Igabi, Chikun, Kachia, Kagarko, and Kajuru local government areas.

The state administration expressed sympathy for individuals who may face problems as a result of the measures and urged all inhabitants to fully comply with them in the benefit of overall security.

DAILY POST recalls that the state government placed the ban at the end of September 2021 as measures were put in place to curb security challenges such as banditry, killing, kidnapping and rustling of animals.
