A soldier allegedly killed a 28-year-old man, Chinonso Nwachukwu in the Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State after accusing him of blocking their way.

According to PUNCH, residents said the soldier, who was in the company of his colleagues, invaded the community around 9pm on Monday.

While the victim reportedly stood up to give way for them, one of the military officers allegedly shot him in the head, killing him on the spot.

The traditional ruler of Amune community and Okwu II, HRH Eze Chigbu Ikwulagu, said community leaders were in a meeting over the incident.
