It was gathered that the gunmen fled after killing the seven community leaders.

“We are still in a state of confusion. We aren’t yet to understand what really happened. The hoodlums stormed our community and invaded the homes of prominent leaders of our community, killed seven of them, including the president general.

“It was like a warlike situation yesterday. They shot indiscriminately, killed their targets, seven of them before zooming off. The incident had been reported at the police and their bodies removed,” one of the sources said.

The state police spokesperson, Mike Abattam, is yet to comment on the incident as at the time of filling this report.
