20-year-old man, Mai Goni, has fled after allegedly hacking his father, Goni Kawu, to death with a pestle in Masaba, Bursari Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The state police spokesman, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, who disclosed this yesterday in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital said that the incident happened on Tuesday at about 7: 30 p.m.
According to Abdulkarim, 65-year-old Kawu, sustained an injury on the head as a result of the attack and was confirmed dead by a doctor in the hospital.
He added that the suspect fled the scene after committing the crime.
