Terrorists are said to have kidnapped two construction workers along the Lambata-Izom route in Niger State’s Gurara Local Government Area.
On Monday at about 4 p.m., an accident occurred on the highway.
The construction workers, whose exact number could not be determined, were tied up and beaten by the criminals, who then took two of them to an unknown place, according to newsmen.
Motorists on the route had no choice but to wait till the terrorists had completed their mission.
Motorists were required to stay in the same place for nearly two hours before moving when they knew the coast was clear to resume their journey.
However, efforts to get the reaction of the state Police Public Relations Officer, PRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun failed as he could not be reached at the time of filing this report.
