Oba Saheed Elegushi of Ikateland and his household have been thrown into mourning following the death of his only son.

According to TVC News, the monarch lost his only son who recently clocked a year and seven months. The young boy is his first and only son from his second wife, Queen Hadiza Elegushi, nee Tanko.

He was born on August 21, 2020, in London and was the heir apparent to the Elegushi throne before his death.

Oba Saheed was presented with the staff of office by Lagos State Government on 27 April 2010 after succeeding his father, late Oba Yekini Adeniyi Elegushi, the 20th Oba Elegushi of Ikateland, who reigned from 1991 to 2009.
