Three persons have been confirmed dead and one other injured a fatal accident at Gofamint in Ogunmakin, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday night.

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun, Ahmed Umar, who disclosed this to newsmen in Abeokuta on Wednesday morning said the incident occurred at 10:55 p.m. and it involved a mini truck (Van), marked YYY 457 YY, and a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number DUI 187 FST.

According to Umar, the accident was caused by excessive speed and route violation on the part of the truck driver which led to a head-on collision.

He said, “A total of six persons were involved which comprises four male and two female adults.

”One person was injured while two women and the driver of the bus died in the accident.”

The FRSC boss stated that the injured victim was taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, for medical attention, while the deceased were deposited at the FOS morgue, Ipara.

He advised motorists to drive cautiously and always avoid route violations, especially at night.
