A four-year-old girl, Esther Olisa, has been snatched away by four gunmen around the Danjuma area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.
According to sources the little girl was kidnapped on Saturday in her father’s house around 8 pm.
It was gathered that the four men had robbed the family of valuables and took the girl while leaving in a black Toyota Camry car.
Her father, Mr. Oga Olisa, confirmed the case has been reported at “B” Divisional Police station in Akure.
Ondo Police spokesman, SP Funmilayo Odunlana, said policemen have been combing the area in search of the girl.
“So far, a male suspect has been arrested by our men of ‘B’ Division police station where the father of the girl reported the case and he has been handed over to the Anti-Kidnapping Department of the State Police Command in Akure.
“All hands are on deck to ensure the safety of the young girl as high profile investigation is ongoing,” she informed.
