No fewer than four persons were killed when some gunmen attacked the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, office at Ntezi in the Íshíelu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The hoodlums were said to have invaded the headquarters of the NDLEA around 2am on Tuesday.

The attackers, who came through the back perimeter fence of the facility, were reportedly repelled by NDLEA officials, as soldiers and policemen raced to the scene to provide backup.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Loveth Odah, who confirmed the incident said security agencies killed two of the gunmen, while others escaped with injuries.
