Nigerian Twitter users are expressing their contempt and condemnation of the alleged rape of one of the pupils of Chrisland School by her peers during a school trip to Dubai.

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported how the 10-year-old pupil was suspended by the school after she was sexually abused during a truth-or-dare game.

It was gathered via a video released by the girl’s mother that while the girl was being raped by her peers, someone recorded the act and posted it online.

The aggrieved and troubled mother also accused the school of trying to cover up the incident.

While narrating the incident, the mother of the girl disclosed that the school threatened to kill her daughter if she told anyone about the incident

Reacting to the incident, a Twitter influencer via his handle, @DrOlufunmilayo, noted the school is always in the news for the wrong reason, he recalled that the school had a similar rape case between 2018-2019. He tweeted, “This was back in 2018-2019 when a teacher in Chrisland raped a child and was sentenced to jail for 60 years.

“The response of the school after all of these? They turned the mother of the child to an enemy. I’m only attaching all this for people who may not remember the story.”

Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa, says Chrisland has the penchant for courting controversy. She tweeted, “Why is this Chrisland school always in the news for the wrong reasons?”

The story of Chrisland and the rape of a 10 year old girl by fellow students, and the school hiding the story is sickening. When does this ever end? Is the reputation of the school more important than justice for the girl? This world is cruel and I fear more for the girl-child.

You took kids to Dubai, you couldn't monitor them, kept the boys and girls in the same room, no adult was in the room with them after light out
Now you said they played Truth or Dare after light out

?????? Excuse meeeee

Same Chrisland school again? That letter reads like they are blaming the Parents instead of accepting responsibility for not monitoring the students under their care while on the trip to Dubai. And why are 10year olds playing Truth or Dare?

Chrisland schoo said the kids played truth or dare.
That means there was a dare. It's true a 10 year old can't give consent, all the boys involved are also below 18 and can't give consent. So rape is questionable here. Bad parenting and poor supervision from the school is at work
