A pregnant woman who fell into labour after being kidnapped has been denied her freedom by kidnappers in Taraba State who are demanding for ransom from her family.

According to reports, the kidnappers snatched away the 9 months pregnant woman and six other persons including one Sharabilu Maaji Bala, in Jalingo.

According to Daily Trust, the abductors stormed the Primary Board Area in Jalingo at 3 am on Saturday April 16, and abducted the victims.

The pregnant woman based in Kano State was said to have visited her parents for maternity leave.

It was further gathered that the gunmen targeted three houses in the area and operated for about 40 minutes.

However, the kidnappers called the father of the abducted pregnant woman and demanded immediate ransom, saying the woman had fallen into labour.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the abduction of the pregnant woman and six others but did not give details.

Meanwhile, a Facebook user, Abba Gana shared a photo of his sister who was among those kidnapped.
