Faruk Aliyu, a top associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, reportedly escaped death by a whisker after an attack on his house in Kano State on Wednesday.

The assailants were said to have attacked the residence of the All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain, who was also a former member of the Federal House of Representatives in Kano.

According to PUNCH, the gunmen forcefully entered the house and tied up the security guards, but could not reach Aliyu’s family.

The state police spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the incident said, “Faruk’s family was saved by the arrival of a detachment of officers drafted by the CP Samaila Doki.”
