Six serial rapists have been arrested by the police in connection with having unlawful carnal knowledge of one Temitope Hamzat and publishing her nude pictures and video on social media.

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, who disclosed this to newsmen said the victim was lured into a local bar in Alausa community in Idi-Igba area of the state where she was forced to consume a sedative.

She gave the names of the suspects as Isijola Okeowo, Amusan Abiodun, Daniel Amusan, Mayowa Fadokun, Glory Nwanga and Olasunkanmi Taiwo.

The police boss said as soon as the victim became unconscious due to the effect of the sedative substance, the suspects took her into one of the rooms at the bar where four of them subsequently took turns to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her.

According to her, the rapists invited a female member of their gang to take pictures and make video recordings of the unlawful sexual activity and later forwarded the “obscene sexual content’’ to another hoodlum who published same on social media platforms with the intent to further discredit the victim.

“Upon interrogation, the suspects made confessional statements to the crime and explained the roles each of them played in the crime,” Onadeko said.
